Dr. Michele E. Horne
Dr. Horne is a graduate of California State University (CSU) Fresno, and with her BA in Biology and minor in Chemistry which led her into the field of Forensics. She then worked for the CA Department of Justice as a forensic scientist and DNA analyst. Later she pursued her medical education at University of Southern California (USC). Dr. Horne did her Internal Medicine residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. After her residency, she stayed with Yale and completed her sub-specialty fellowship training in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, receiving her Master’s Degree in Public Health.
Dr. Horne founded Central Coast Total Wellness in 2013 to fulfill a childhood dream. Prior to opening her private practice, she worked as an Occupational Medicine Physician/Manager for Exxon Mobil in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Director of Medical Services for Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York before relocating to the Monterey Peninsula.
Dr. Horne is a member of the American College of Physicians and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Occupational Medicine.

Lupita Zavala
Lupita is usually the first person that you come in contact with at Central Coast Total Wellness. She is always happy to answer the phone and schedule your appointment to meet with Dr. Michele Horne. Lupita will be at the front desk when you arrive for your appointment. Some of her skills include verifying your insurance, scheduling imaging studies, and ordering laboratory testing. With her many years of experience, she hopes to be an asset in all aspects of your visit with Dr. Michele Horne.
